Newly Redesigned Pinterest Pages Go Live

Pinterest has launched the new layout of its profile page. The layout changes came quickly after its co-founder, Ben Silbermann, discussed Pinterest’s future plans at SXSW Interactive. The revamped profile page features a large banner across the top of the page displaying who has recently repinned your images. Previously, a user’s profile was displayed on the left-hand side as a column. The redesign was intended to make the profile less cluttered and provide a clean look.  [via thenextweb.com]

What Men and Women Really Want, According to Socal Media [Infographic]

NetBase, a social media monitoring firm, developed an infographic based on 27 billion online conversations over the span of one year. NetBase uncovered some interesting insights in relation to what men and women want. According to the results, the number one thing women wanted was ice cream, especially Dairy Queen’s ice cream. On the other hand, men wanted a car the most. Surprisingly the top three things wanted by both men and women were pizza, ice cream, and a car. Twitter Snaps Up Engineers from Blog Player Posterous

Earlier this week, Twitter acquired the blogging platform Posterous. At this moment Twitter acquired the company to utilize Posterous’ staff. Posterous’ service will remain up and running as usual, but Twitter will soon provide a detailed guide on how to back up or transfer content to other blogging providers. [via wired.com]
